Morning on the train

The concept of this work is based on the classic surrealist composition of the juxtaposition of spaces. The hot tea symbolizes the dawn, and the steam rising from it is transformed into the northern lights as one of the elements of the starry night.
The couple plunges from the freedom of nighttime fantasies into the limited space of the reality of the morning, constrained by the cramped carriage. The familiar elements of the train are the window with curtains and the recognizable cupholder. The breakfast itself is modest and limited by the austerity of the road situation. The composition combines two simple actions: people waking up and having breakfast.
