Senko

Jadwiga Senko lives in Molodechno. She studied in the art studio under the direction of the artist Yuri Gerasimenko. In 1983 she graduated from Moscow University of the Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Easel Painting and Graphics, and the course of the leaders of isocollectives.

From 1997 to 2009, she collaborated with CJSC Christian Initiative in Minsk. Since 1997, the artist’s work is almost inextricably linked with the theme of Christianity. With the blessing of Filaret, Metropolitan of Minsk and Slutsk Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus writes lists of all icons known in the Orthodox world. In the arsenal of her works there are Catholic icons, and all the famous biblical subjects.

The artist collaborates with Catholic and Orthodox churches, art galleries, the Spiritual Book in Minsk and Grodno.

Yadviga painted over 2000 icons and paintings on a Christian theme. Her works can be seen not only in the churches of the city of Molodechno and Molodechno district, but also in many churches of Belarus and abroad, as well as in some museums of the republic. The artist also works in the genre of landscape and still life. She has written about 600 flower arrangements and landscapes. Works by Jadwiga Senko are in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Armenia, the Baltic countries, Poland, Germany, Italy, France, England, the USA, and Belgium.

Engaged in exhibition activities since 2003.
At the beginning of 2012, the residents of Armenia were able to see the work of Jadwiga Senko. Her new project, an exhibition of icon painting was exhibited in the art gallery of Alaverdi, the regional center of Vanadzor and the capital of Armenia - Yerevan and other cities of the country.

For personal contribution to the development of the Armenian-Belarusian relations in the field of culture, she was awarded the Gratitude and Diploma.

She was awarded the title of Full Member of the International Academy of Ecology, Art and Architecture.
