He received a musical education in the class of violin, also engaged in the visual arts. In 1990, he emigrated with his parents to Israel, where for many years he studied painting in the studio of the artist AXL (Boris Axelrod, also came from St. Petersburg). Axl devoted his entire life to reviving the ancient encaustic technique. Among other things, he and his students made copies of famous FM portraits that can be found in Egyptian tombs unscathed to this day. The phrase "to save the living soul" expresses the essence of wax painting.
Gerasim engaged in painting in different styles and techniques, as well as iconography. The works have been repeatedly exhibited in the exhibition halls of Israel and are in private collections, badges on orders from different countries.
