Description of the artwork «Untitled»
A funny detail: among the reproaches hurled at Hirschfield after the scandalous exhibition of 1943 was the following: his women have both left feet! The artist justified himself by saying it was because the factory always sewed samples of new slippers on the left foot. Now this total "left-footedness" of Hirschfield's heroines is perceived as a charming feature of his style.
