Ivanovich Smirnov

born in 1933

Born on October 22, 1933 in the town of Furmanov in the family working.First acquaintance with art and painting received in the circle under the leadership of D. A. Trubnikova. In 1949, after finishing seven classes of secondary school he entered the higher art-industrial school of Stroganov in Moscow. In 1957 he enrolled in the Central restoration workshop named after academician I. E. Grabar. After three years of training was certified as a restorer of the 1st category.
In 1960, he worked in the art gallery of the city of Ivanovo, then was transferred to the art Fund of the Ivanovo branch of the Union of artists. At that time, Smirnov was awarded the contract for the portrait of the shop. The portrait was held all-Union exhibition, and Smirnov was admitted to the Union of artists. During these years, Smirnov worked with M. S. Ageev, Yu. a. Savinov. And K. M. Maximov in his workshop on Maslovka. From 1980 to 2015 he worked in Moscow as a restorer and artist.
The work of V. I. Smirnov executed in a realistic traditions of Russian artists, founded to him by the artist D. A. Trubnikov, his first teacher.
