Description of the artwork «Victory»

Phoebe Anna Traquair (1852-1936) was a Scottish artist, Illustrator, jewellery designer and seamstress of Irish descent, took an active part in the movement known in Scotland as "Celtic Revival". Considered the first professional woman artist in modern Scotland.. One of the "secrets" of the artist was "oil paint in tubes, diluted with beeswax dissolved in turpentine"
