Description of the artwork «THE TEMPLE OF ATHENA ~ ATHENA'S TEMPLE ~ TEMPLE ANY»
The small culture of the Greek people, who tried to comprehend everything happening around him, formed the basis of human culture and have such attractive force that penetrated deep into the views and mindsets of the modern man. Without hesitation, we are talking about the "Sisyphean", "Achilles ' heel", "Herculean strength", remember the "muses," look underwater and space "Odyssey." But for this every way – beautiful and wise Greek myth, the survivors of the Millennium. Artists, poets, sculptors have always been attracted, first of all, the depth and artistry of mythical images.
The prototype of the "temple of Athena", was the Athena Temple of aphaia on the island of Aegina, and the bead of the statue of Athena Parthenos (the virgin) is a Roman copy of the statue of Phidias.
