Igor Panov was born in 1969. In 2001, he graduated from the Ilya Repin St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (studio of V. V. Sokolov). Igor Panov joined the Union of Artists of Russia in 2002. He is a member of the Board of the Togliatti branch of the Union of Artists of Russia All-Russian creative public organization since 2005.
He was admitted to the Petrovskaya Academy of Sciences and Arts in 2011.
The painter is a laureate of the Russian Gallery 21st Century National Prize in contemporary fine and decorative art (silver medal in 2008).
Igor Panov participated in international, all-Russian, interregional, regional exhibitions in Paris, Wolfsburg, Guangzhou, Stoliv, Minsk, Uralsk, St. Petersburg, Togliatti, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Saransk, Ufa, Samara, Cheboksary, Saratov, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, etc. Among more than 200 exhibitions, 35 are personal ones.
He undertook a number of creative trips to Germany, Tanzania, China, Egypt, Italy, Montenegro, Altai, Crimea, Caucasus, Ural, Karelia, Sakhalin and the Golden Ring of Russia.
In his work, the artist focuses on the traditions of the Russian Realism school of painting, trying to convey an emotional personal attitude to the chosen subject.
He currently works as a professor at Togliatti State University, Painting Department.
