Svetogorov Evgeny Dmitrievich (07.03.1913–1981)
Schedule, Honored artist of the RSFSR (1974), member of the Communist party (1948).
From 1913 he lived in Tver, Tver studied in the Studio of V. A. Bartholomew (1925-29), VHUTEINe (1929-30), the Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture the Russian Academy of Arts (1930-34). In 1928-30 he was a member of the Tver branch of the Association of artists of revolutionary Russia (AHR). A member of the Union of artists of the USSR from 1941. The participant of the great Patriotic war of 1941-45 In 1950-e years he taught in the Kalinin (now Tver) city children's art school. Exhibited in Tver since 1929. A participant of regional and Republican exhibitions since 1940.
Personal exhibition of graphics E. D. Svetogorov took place in Kalinin in 1939, and was opened in the spring of 1939, the Regional picture gallery of Kalinin city. Then exhibited 45 works of the artist.
In 1970 and 1974 in Kalinin (Tver), also held a personal exhibition of E. D. Svetogorov.
The artist worked in the field of easel graphics. In the years 1948-57 was Secretary and Executive Secretary of the Kalinin regional Department of the Union of Soviet artists. From 1957 to 1974 - Chairman of the Kalinin branch of the Union of artists of the RSFSR. In the Tver regional art gallery are his work "the Stadium was empty" (1951), a series of "Seliger in June" (1963), the cycle "the seasons" (1973), a series of linocuts dedicated to M. I. Kalinin (1967).
Eugene D. Svetogorov died in Tver in 1981 and is buried in the cemetery in Lebedjeve.
