born in 1939 in Moscow. In 1959-1963 he studied at the Moscow state University faculty
journalism, worked in the "photo ITAR-TASS". From 1963 to 1989 - photographer
in the magazine "Soviet Union" from 1989 to 1991, journal "Rodina", and since 1991 по1995 year
- in the Moscow Bureau of the French Agency "SIPA-Press". Mainly worked in the genre

In 1963 he was awarded a gold medal at the photo exhibition in Budapest, and in 1965 –
bronze medal in Moscow. Member of the Union of journalists since 1964. Since 1991 – member
Union of art photographers. In 2002 he became the laureate of the prize "Golden eye of Russia".
His father graduated from the cinematography Department of VGIK, the mother worked as a photo editor.
