Painter. The author of genre and thematic compositions, landscapes, portraits and still lifes, is realistic school of painting. Honored artist of Russia (2000).
Born in the village of Kalinino Sergach district of Nizhny Novgorod province. In 1950-e years he lived in Tambov, 1955 and lived in Gorky (Nizhny Novgorod). Died in Nizhny Novgorod in 2009.
From early childhood, have known the heavy farm labor, he entered the agricultural College (1937-1938). But the fascination with painting took over, and he became a student at the Gorky art College (1938-1941, 1946-1949). The participant of the great Patriotic war. Thesis in College was called "Crossing the Dnieper". In 1949-50, he studied at the art Institute of Tartu (Estonia) and then at the Leningrad Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture. I. E. Repin (1949-1955), where he studied at the faculty of painting at the famous master painter Professor R. R. Frentz (thesis "collective tea", the qualification of the artist painting.). Member of USSR Union of artists since 1961 and the society "Friends of Nizhny Novgorod art Museum" in 1998. Since 1955, the participant of regional, zonal ("Great Volga", 1967, 1974, 1985, 2003), Republican (Moscow, 1957), all-Union (Moscow, 1959), the Jubilee exhibition of the Nizhny Novgorod organization of the Union of artists of Russia, devoted to her seventieth birthday, held in the exhibition hall of the Moscow branch of the Union of artists of Russia, on a Treadmill,7-9, in may 2004, as well as international exhibitions. The cycle of war paintings gives an idea of the harsh truth of trench life, its everyday life. The artist painted the Volga and the Oka, the Caucasus and Crimea, Siberia and the Baltic States.
The motive was not only the majestic Volga Dali, but a blind trail in the woods, a stone Church and a wooden bathhouse in the village compound. Loved the scenery, with blooming Apple trees and sunflowers, still life with red roses.
At the exhibition in Nizhny Novgorod art Museum, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Victory, his painting "Kursk" has been marked as the most fully captures the atmosphere of wartime.
