Born in 1904. Studied in art studios in the 1920s. In 1930-1950 lived and worked in the Urals, in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg). Master sculptural portrait ("The Boy with the Engine", 1954?; "Pavlik Morozov", 1953; "The Girl", 1956, etc.). Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. The participant of all-Union, republican and regional art exhibitions. Sculptor Yevgeny Lazarevich Yukelis, author of the bust of A.S. Pushkin (1958, cast iron) on the facade of the Sverdlovsk State Public Library named after VG Belinsky, among the busts of the classics of Russian and Soviet literature.
