Description of the artwork «The Life Of Kamchatka»

In 2013, I visited the Kamchatka Peninsula and met a woman by the name of Alexander, a native resident of the Koryak people. She told me the story of his life and his people. This story formed the basis of the picture.
Since ancient times, the Koryak were a nomadic people. They lived on the usual set - up men herded reindeer and hunted, the women made clothing from skins, raised the children and kept the house.
The picture shows the interaction of several generations of the same family. You can see how their normal life in their habitual way breaks the Communist regime and what consequences it leads.
Thus, this woman's life is like a reflection of the fate of a whole nation, its historical and cultural change.
