Mathurin Moreau (French Mathurin Moreau) - French sculptor.

He received his initial art education in Dijon under the guidance of his father, also a sculptor, and then studied with Cl. Rame and A. A. Dumont in Paris.
The performer of many ideal and allegorical statues, groups and reliefs, of which are particularly noteworthy:

"Fairy of Flowers" (1853; bronze group),
“Summer” (1855; marble statue),
The Sleeping Child (1857),
“Spinner” (1859; bronze),
"Studiosa" (1866; marble figure),
Cornelia (bronze group),
statues of st. Jerome and St. Gregory the Great (1865; in the Church of the Holy Trinity in Paris),
Saltarella and Primavera groups (bronze),
relief hl portal of the parisian church of st. Augustine
several caryatids in the building of the New Opera in Paris.
