Biography and information
Born in Petropavlovsk (North Kazakhstan) in 1962.
In 1986 graduated from the design Department of the Crimean art College im. N. With. Samokish (Simferopol).
The work of Yuri Laptev exhibited more than 30 solo and group exhibitions, including the exhibition of creative associations of the Crimea and Simferopol, the exhibition "Reality and mysticism" (Werkstattgallerie, Heidelberg, Germany), the exhibition "Biennale of Modern Russian graphic and sculpture" (Museum of Contemporary Russian Art, Jersey City, New York), and many others.
Yuri Laptev's work are in private collections in the cities of Simferopol, Odessa, Kiev, Heidelberg, new Jersey, Moscow and others.
Currently lives in the Crimea (Simferopol). Works in graphic techniques watercolor, monotype, etching.
