Description of the artwork «Petya»

The drawing "Petya" is one of the many drawings I made of my students at the N.K. Roerich Art School in St. Petersburg when I was a teacher there. When I worked as a teacher at the St. Petersburg Art School named after N.K. Roerich. Petya Zakharenkov is a student from the N.K. Roerich Art School restoration department; he is the grandson of Svetlana Viktorovna Rimskaya-Korsakova, the head of the Technical Research Department of the State Russian Museum and the widow of the great grandson of the great Russian composer Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov. One of the leading teachers of this school - Shamil Voroshilov, looking at the sketch, briefly said: "Like Repin's!" I was happy to hear such an assessment, especially it was not the first time from other artists - Boris Ugarov, Nikolai Repin, Andrey Mylnikov, Oleg Eremeev, Vladimir Orlov - about my graphic works, many of which have been published in various domestic and foreign editions, including 7 drawings in the book "Study Drawing" in the "Sketches and sketches", published by Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture at the Russian Academy of Arts in 1996 and 2016.
