Nina Andreevna Baranova was born in 1924 in the village of Bobyleva, Kargopolsky District, Kurgan Region. Her father worked as a school principal, her mother was a gardener and beekeeper. Since childhood, Nina loved to draw, but her parents did not consider it a profession, so she graduated from the Pedagogical Institute. Then she taught Russian language and literature in school. In 1948 Nina married, had a son and two daughters who later became artists. After 10 years at school Nina became a kindergarten teacher, where she was able to show off her creative talents, colorfully decorating groups and making visual aids.
All her life, Nina had been doing needlework, decorating her home with beautiful embroidery and woven carpets. But she began to draw after seven ten. Her favorite subjects are cozy Ural landscapes, cheerful village houses, baskets full of fruit, bunches of bright flowers. Her works radiate kindness and warmth.
