Elena Ter-Avakyan 1936-2014
Born in Yerevan in 1936. . Studied at the P.Terlemezyan Art School. In 1963, she graduated from the Yerevan Institute of Art and Theater with a degree in painting (she studied under the people's artist of Armenia Ara Bekaryan).
Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1970. Constantly participated in art exhibitions. He works in the genre of graphics and painting. For more than twenty-seven years, 1964-1991, he taught at the Polytechnic Institute.
Being an ardent admirer of classical music, E. Ter-Avakian wrote a number of inspirational portraits and other outstanding musicians - Svetlana Navasardyan, Arthur Papazian, Van Cliburn (USA), Vladimir Horovtsts, famous conductor Yevgeny Mravinsky, famous Spanish guitarist Paç de Lucier and the white-whales, vi-sing, well-known conductor Yevgeny Mravinsky, well-known Spanish guitarist Paç de Lès i rn wh-whales vi. Bagratuni and others.
The portrait of R. Aharonian (60x60, oil on canvas) created by the artist, is a generalization of all the sketches and sketches made by E. Ter-Avakyan by the State Picture Gallery of Armenia.
Elena Ter-Avakian also has many paintings devoted to the nature of Armenia: << Blue Sevan >>, << Shirak plain >>, << Temple Hripsime >> and others.
