Biography and information

BALABIN, Alexander Fedorovich (30.XI.1922 - 10.VI.1977) - artist, painter. B. in S. Lichadeevo, Ardatovsky. Nizhny Novgorod province. In 1948 he graduated from the Penza art College, in 1954 - the Kharkov state art Institute. Member of the Union of artists since 1975. Taught in the Kursk art and graphic school in 1954 - 1960. Participant of all-Union, inter-provincial, zonal, regional exhibitions. Major works: "Traces of war" (1959), "Kursk Antonovka" (1963), "the Commander of the gold tier A. Koshin" (1968), "Pines" (1969), "the Nameless height" (1969), "May 1945" (1970), "Spring" (1974). Works are in the Kursk regional art gallery named after A. A. Deineka.
