Novikov Yuri was born in the city of Smolensk.
In 1979 graduated from the Kharkiv art College. From 1980 to 1990, participated in regional, zonal and Republican exhibitions.
Since 1990 lives in the city of Zelenograd (Moscow), where he works in creative group "Kutuzovskaya Sloboda".
As part of the creative team participated in international exhibitions in Hanover, California, aspen.
Since 1998 is a member of professional-creative Union of artists and schedules of the International Federation of artists of UNESCO.
Works of the artist are in private collections in Russia, France, Germany, America.
