Valentinovich Arkhipov

Valery Arkhipov V. (2 Oct 1961) — painter, Dean of art faculty of VGIK, Professor. Honored artist of Russia.
Born on 2 Oct 1961 in Potsdam, Germany.
In 1993 he graduated from Russian state University of cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov.
Member of Moscow Union of artists (1993).
Since 2009 — Dean of art faculty of VGIK.
Currently combines teaching activities with the work of art Director at the Studio "Mosfilm".
Participated in creating more than 30 films.
Today the artist's works are in private collections abroad and in many museums around the world.
His solo exhibitions in Italy, Germany, France, America, Iran, Lebanon brought him wide international acclaim and many prestigious prizes and awards, including the Grand Prix at the International exhibition of graphics in Tregastel in 1996 and 1997, the title of the laureate of the International art exhibition in San Rafael.
In 2009 the decree of the President of the Russian Federation D. A. Medvedev for achievements in the field of fine arts Valery Arkhipov was awarded the title "Honored artist of Russia".
Member of the Union of cinematographers (2011).
