Biography and information

Louise Moillon — French artist of the Baroque era.
Born into a Calvinist family. Her father, brother Isaac, and stepfather were selling paint and were themselves artists. The first drawing lessons Louise had received from his father, the landscape painter Nicholas Aiona, studied with the painter françois Garnier. He lived all his life in Paris. Died Louise Moillon from heart disease in 1696.
Most of her works — still lifes made exquisite technique, was made in 1630, to the marriage in 1640 with a rich merchant Etienne Girardot de Securom. The last work written by the artist in 1645.
Louise Moillon have developed their own special style. The artist enjoyed great popularity. Among connoisseurs of talent and patrons of Moyon were representatives of the highest nobility of France and England, including king Charles I.
