Dirk van
Santworth

1610−1680
Dirk van Santvoort (1610-1680) - who lived in Amsterdam follower Rembrandt's, one of the most popular children's portraitist of his time.
Came from a dynasty of artists, this successful master actively worked for only about 10 years, from 1635 to 1645. He probably retired from practice, but continued to stay in the Guild of painters of Amsterdam, headed in 1658. He had two of the artist's brother: older brother is an artist and landscape painter Peter Dirks Santvoort (1603 - 1635) and Abraham (C. 1624 - 1669).
Dirk Santvoort was married twice. Interesting fact: the name of the artist's son from his first marriage - Rembrandt.
