Description of the artwork «Clown N8.»

Clown is a word used to describe a person who behaves or looks silly, ridiculous or indecent. However, often this description does not reflect reality. Reality is hidden and the motives of the clown are not known. This is the meaning of this work. Behind the bright clothes and painted face can hide a person with a broken fate, but not surrendered or on the contrary a very suffering person, which its brightness and memorability of the image replaces the inner suffering or unrealized. The work is made in the traditions of the Russian avant-garde of wood with the use of oil and bronze paint in 1994.
