At artistic works by Laura Alma-Tadema similar to the works of her husband and teacher, Lawrence Alma-Tadema. However, there are significant plot differences: if Lawrence wrote mainly on historical topics (Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Ancient Egypt), Laura did not go into such a distant past. The artist specialized mainly in sentimental domestic scenes depicting women and children, however, sometimes applied to landscapes and classical subjects.
