Lucas Cranach the Younger (it.Lucas Cranach der Jüngere, October 4, 1515, Wittenberg — January 25, 1586, Weimar) was the son and pupil Lucas Cranach the Elder, historical and portrait painter. Figure he is weaker than his father, more tender and richer flavor nuances. The works of Cranach the Younger are in the churches of Wittenberg, and in many art galleries. The best of them: "the Preaching of John the Baptist," in the Brunswick gallery.
