Marina Apollonio (Marina Apollonio, November 12, 1940, Trieste, Italy) – Italian painter, representative of the style of op art. He received his artistic education at Venice Academy of fine arts. In the 60s, Apollo began to explore architectural solutions for interiors, and then turned to the study of the ways of visual communication. In 1963, she began to create metal reliefs with alternating color sequences. This unique work has brought her wide popularity, particularly those where the motion effect was created using concentric circles. In the ' 70s, Apollo moved from the circles to the parallel colored lines, and then began to work with textiles. The artist worked a lot in Italy and abroad, but in the 80-ies he decided to devote himself to research.
