Lviv artist Avgustinovich Alexander (Aleksander Augustynowicz) was Born February 07, 1865 in the village of Iskrina, near Krosno, Poland.
He studied at the Krakow Academy of arts (1883-1886); in art school sh holloshi in Munich (1888). Teachers of the speciality V. Lashkevich, J. Matejko. Painter. Painted portraits, landscapes, domestic scenes on Hutsul themes.
Member of the Krakow Association of artists plastics in Warsaw; Polish club of artists, the society for the encouragement of arts. Received the highest honorary prize at the exhibition "Polish portrait" (1925). Worked in Italy and Hungary.
Participated in exhibitions in Krakow, Warsaw, Vienna, Munich, St. Petersburg and London.
Major works: "Portrait of J. Kulakovs - who" (1890), "self-Portrait" (1899), "On the apiary" (1905), "Daughter of the artist" (1907), "the Landscape of Lviv" (1908), "Queen Jadwiga" (1925).
Lived and worked in Lvov, Warsaw, Poznan.
Died 1944 in Warsaw.
