Summer garden

Summer garden. 60x80 cm. Oil on canvas. 2018. Work with motifs from the Summer Garden in St. Petersburg: statues, avenue, people walking and taking pictures. On a bench in the gazebo, a bouquet of flowers and a forgotten cocked hat from the 18th century, a reed of an invisible gentleman is leaning against the foot of the statue of Aurora. A place in the modern metropolis where a person can break away from the bustle of the city and feel his connection with the generations left. The Summer Garden is like a link for the inhabitants of modern St. Petersburg with history and Petersburgers of the distant past, the place where the city and the people of the past and the present meet.
