Description of the artwork «The sound of water»

Installation includes household items that are somehow associated with water, bathing or washing. Phrases from advertisements, the inscription "TARENTINO" on cement blocks near the river unobtrusively report bloody events, facts that are forgotten are distorted after a while. In the central part of the work, traditional village washbasins are presented, below with photos showing the process of washing hands. This combination of objects and gestures refers to historical characters. This is Pontius Pilate with his phrase "washing my hands" and Jesus Christ. The question arises: who is the victim, and who is the king? What is human weakness and what is strength? An olive green indicator completes the installation. This element in the form of an arrow is ambiguous - someone can quite naturally see this as a sign indicating a follow-up job, and the other - to resist and feel the moment of manipulation.
