"My world..." - says the artist - "... comes from the fact that the world is diverse and all items, objects, animals and insects... are carriers of cosmic information. I aim to make people smile more often... And if modern civilization will be able to save the world from destruction, destruction ... it will be the result of the collective mind."

Features and regularities of modern exlibris in that it is usually a symbolic character, and distinguished by a careful design of the form, a sophistication of technical skills, eliminates randomness in composition and plasticity, and therefore requires not only talent, but great work is an extraordinary feeling and thinking artist. This genre is designed to have a specific aesthetic training to perceive it, and therefore elitist in nature. A highlight of today is the artist the freedom of expression and creative interpretation of themes and subjects, which eliminates clichés and stereotypes. Here was this freedom, combined with sophistication of form and impeccable taste, typical of the works of the original masters of Moscow Yury Smirnov. Yu prefers to work in etchings, often using hand-coloring in watercolor, making it the prints truly unique. The introduction of color, creates not only elegance, but also helps to "read and understand" the content and meaning of these bookplates.
