Description of the artwork «Musha - Tiflis Porter»

MUSH (Tiflis Porters)
This part of the population enjoyed unlimited trust. They could be trusted not only with baggage, but also with money. And they would bring it all safe and sound. All their equipment consisted of ropes and leather belts. They say that in bad weather they carried on their own backs even a live load of women. Well, sure, it's worthless for the princess to knead the heels of dirt and slush if it rains outside the window.

As described in some sources, most of the porters came from one of the most picturesque regions of Georgia - Rachi.
And already in Soviet times, this overweight veil fell on the shoulders of another ethnic group - the Yezidi Kurds. That they were able to lift any burden on the very last floor. By the way, the antique piano from the cast-iron deck deck was moved with the help of special belts and remarkable strength that the Tiflis porters had.
