When a mother was found, Rostislav left for Shakhtyorsk. Having lived with my mother for a short time, I went to the city of Zhdanov. There he worked at the factory as a mechanic, tractor driver and bricklayer. In the same place in 1962, Rostislav met with the Gudsul Dance Ensemble of the city of Ivano-Frano. In Leningrad, Rostislav begins to engage in self-education. Immediately after 3 months of life in Leningrad, Rostislav makes an underground apartment exhibition with collector Mikhailov. At the exhibition, 4 paintings were bought by collector Pervilov (later, after the death of the collector, all his paintings were transferred to the Russian Museum). Rostislav is installed in the fire department of the village. Dubrovka of the Leningrad region. The artist lived in a hostel belonging to the fire department guarding the plant. He worked as a senior firefighter, and in his free time he was engaged in creativity: playing the piano, composed poems and songs, and drew a lot. Painting for the artist was the core of all art. Thinking a lot about his art, he realized that it was necessary to combine all forms of art into one.
