Description of the artwork «A little prince»

Prince of the Empire Napoleon IV; as a child, shows great artistic sensitivity, thanks to his talent he dreams of becoming an artist, but he is being prepared for a military career. “When I was six years old, adults convinced me that the artist wouldn’t leave me, and I didn’t learn to draw anything except boas - from the outside and inside,” recalls the little prince from the story, the character Antoine de Saint-Exupery. Everyone in life has its own "rose", a certain, metaphorical ... For example, for them it is a distant homeland (the rose "La France"), dreams to return and protect with their care: "You know ... my rose ... I am for it in response. And she is so weak! And so innocent. She only has that four miserable thorns, she has nothing more to defend from the world ... ”. Alas, the distant sands of Africa devoured both, but the “rose” never saw “Well ... that's all ... I didn't cry out. Then he fell - slowly, like a tree falls. Slow and inaudible, because the sand muffles all sounds. ”

“... Unhappy boy! You are an alien victim
Became in a foreign land, - about your fate
There will be no tears pouring your legion!
French republic you

He will honor the wreath of soldierly glory,
He will not salute the king - no!
Your soul is worth giving the answer
The majestic pillar of power ... "
