Alexandrovich Vasilchikov

Sergey Alexandrovich Vasilchikov (1926–2016) - Russian writer, amateur artist. Born September 21, 1926 in Tomsk in the family of a military man. He graduated from school in Kuibyshev. In 1943-1945 he served in the Red Army, a participant in the war (an electrician in the anti-aircraft forces). He graduated from the faculty of Kuibyshev Pedagogical Institute (1950). He worked in the Kaluga region and Kaluga teacher, journalist. In 1954-1962 at the party work. Since the 1960s. professional writer. Winner of the Leonid Leonov Prize for the novel "The Seer", dedicated to Maximilian Voloshin. He died on the night of May 9, 2016.
