This is the first ever publication about Vladimirova's studio - almost 200 photos! The album is an absolute exclusive - it contains photos from private collections, which are not published anywhere else.
In 1913-1919, one of the popular photo studios in Samara was the art photo studio of Elizaveta Timofeevna Vladimirova, located in the profitable house of merchant E. F. Afanasyev at the intersection of Nekrasovskaya and Dvoryanskaya Streets.
The album contains about two hundred specially selected and restored photographic images made in Vladimirova's studio. The publication is based on the collection of the album author, samples from private collections and museum archives.
On the example of photographic works of E. Т. Vladimirova will trace how popular genres of studio photography were performed in the past - children's portrait, family portrait, group portrait, high school graduation albums, wedding photography, personal photo session.
Embossed E. Т. Vladimirova on elegant half-cardboard forms are well known to collectors. The pictures made in Vladimirova's studio are still in circulation on the antique market and are of great value, although inferior in quantity to other large photo studios of those years - A. P. Vasiliev, B. R. Bik, V. A. Mikhailov, M. M. Ferdman, I. S. Liberman.
