Living Fibonacci cross. Double sided octopus

Graphics, 2000-th , 40×40 cm

Description of the artwork «Living Fibonacci cross. Double sided octopus»

The work uses a sequence of a number of numbers, which was first described by the Italian mathematician Leonardo from Pisa, nicknamed Fibonacci. The numbers of this series - 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, .... etc. are determined by the formula - Аn = An-1 + An-2. That is, each number in the row is equal to the sum of the previous two.
