Description of the artwork «No»

“Twenty years have passed since the writing of the painting“ No. ”It refers to the initial period of my creativity in the style of ornamentalism, which I began to develop in 1996. The plot of the canvas is dedicated to real events - my student years when I studied at Ryazan Art These are the years of learning, growing up and the most vivid feelings of love ... I was in love with my classmate ... Now I remember what a happy time it was: impatient waiting for dates, walking around the city, funny jokes, harmless courtship, romantically e relationships and dreams with fantasies that were ahead of each other ... We experienced such happiness that the whole world seemed to smile at us.The touch of our hands and timid timid kisses caused a wave of warmth and some other unfamiliar feeling ...
After several months of our meetings, I felt how the attitude of the girl towards me changed, how she was moving away from me, I felt the cold of her soul ... My heart sank, - I realized that my love is not my love anymore ... One evening, when I accompanied my beloved home, she did not talk to me, did not look at me. I said in desperation: "After all, I love you !!!" In response, he heard: "But I am not you!" Thought quickly and easily forget her. But he was mistaken. Pain burned chest. Wandering the streets of the city, I went into the telephone booths, called my beloved, but in response I heard: “No,” at that moment I could not move away from the device.
In the picture, even the telephone itself looks much more lively, optimistic than me. The calls were pointless, apparently because of this I subconsciously in the telephone disk portrayed only eight holes.
Over time, the picture became historical, much has changed: mobile communications have replaced telephone booths, after twenty years I have not felt any feelings for this girl for a long time and now in this place where that telephone stood a street lamp that illuminates the path with new light couples in love. Maybe in their life there will be no word "No"? ..
