Description of the artwork «Lamb»

The painting "The Lamb", 68 x 46.2 cm, oil on canvas, acrylic, 2002 From the collection of the Soyuz-Creativity Gallery, Moscow. The author - Alexey Akindinov.
My painting "The Lamb" refers to a series of works based on childhood memories. Sometimes it was not only memories, but also fantasies. In my imagination I went into the world of memories, gradually it manifested itself to me in mysterious images. In the picture “The Lamb” I portrayed a boy, he stands in the courtyard and holds a dove, behind him we see the usual paneled storey, gazebo, heating pipes and leafless trees, everything around is silent, as if hiding. At first glance, the plot seems to be quite everyday, everyday, and only the patterned ligature through which the whole image appears creates an atmosphere of mystery, the magic of mysterious expectation and unsolved secrets.
But in this picture there is a second - encrypted meaning. It is rooted in the Yesenin treatise "Mary's Keys" and the Biblical interpretation. Crossing with the Bible and the “Keys of Mary” and in the poem “Jordanian Pigeon” (1918) it says: “... the oilseed branch will be brought only by a pigeon ...” “Here it is, here is a pigeon that has sat down to the hand of the world” ... The picture shows not a simple boy, I laid the Image of the Lamb of God in him, He is humble, full of inner concentration, He reads a prayer, and the patterns in the picture are the words spoken in prayer ...
