The portrait was first printed in the journal "Technique of Youth" in July 1996 (in Finland) on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the Russian Navy (October 20, 1696).
PETER I is depicted in the royal mantle, on the outside is dark red velvet, inside is ermine fur, in his right hand is a Power lined with diamonds and emeralds. Power - a golden ball with a crown and a cross - a symbol of the power of the monarch and the unity of the state. The epee is an attribute of the military victories of the Emperor-Victor. In accordance with the tradition and canon of the image of the reigning persons, the ribbon of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called was thrown over the Emperor’s shoulder.
