Polak Alexander Emelyanovich

He was born in Chernihiv in 1944.
In 1971 graduated from the Moscow University of Arts named after N.K.Krupskaya, specialty "Painting". He was fond of modernism and figurative abstraction.
He worked as a designer (Smolensk).
2 paintings of the artist were presented at the famous "Bulldozer exhibition" on September 15, 1974 on the outskirts of Moscow in Belyaevo.
He was a member of the underground informal art group "Association of Artists of Chernihiv".
In 1975 he was arrested for "anti-Soviet propaganda and possession of anti-Soviet literature" and spent 10 months in prison.
Later he worked as an artist-restorer, painted orthodox churches (in Smolensk, Chernigov)
