Description of the artwork «Shaman»

Picture “Shaman” (oil, canvas on a stretcher 80 cm X 80 cm, palette knife, brush).
The sacred rock Shamanka (Cape Burhan) is an island-type cape in the middle of Olkhon Island, the famous image of Lake Baikal. One of the most revered places of worship among Asian believers - from Neolithic times to the present day. The shaman is connected to the coast by a low and narrow isthmus. In the part of the rock closest to the shore there is a through Shaman cave 12 m deep and 6 m high. Only a shaman can enter there for the ceremony. Since shamanism has become the main religion on the island, all nature is the temple. And in antiquity, and now people here conduct many rites, and only shamans could rise here. Therefore, the place around the Shaman rock is filled with strong energy. Today, not every person is allowed to enter here. This is especially true for girls who will become expectant mothers. In order for them and future descendants not to be influenced by spirits, there is this prohibition. If the guest makes a wish, then you need to be careful in your thoughts. Be afraid of your thoughts, for they are realized. Every first weekend of August, there is a large tigan shaman from all over the world to cleanse the island, and anyone can go through a ritual of purification.
