Chaikun

Sergei Tchaikun, a graduate of the Moscow Architectural Institute, a member of the Moscow Artists Union and the International Art Fund. Sergey Tchaikun is known to specialists as a graphic artist, painter and illustrator. He has more than 100 illustrated books on his account - Shakespeare, Gogol, Sartre, Fitzgerald, Hoffmann, Thomas Mann, Andersen, Pavich and works by other authors, which were published by well-known Moscow publishing houses APN, Pravda, AST, Onyx , "Vagrius." He also collaborated with popular magazines in Moscow and abroad. For the past three years, he has worked with the Vita Nova Publishing House (St. Petersburg), by order of which he made a series of illustrations for Shakespeare's works Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, and Sonnets. His work is highly appreciated by such authoritative people in the field of fine art as academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts A. I. Rozhin, President of the Union of Moscow Architects, academician of the Russian Academy of Arts N. I. Shumakov, and recently President of the Palace Exhibition Committee UN Nations in Geneva M. Pierre Pelou. At the request of this Committee, after holding a solo exhibition at the UN Palais des Nations in Geneva in the year 2000, Sergey's work “The Source of the Horizon” was left and is there in a permanent exhibition.

To implement his artistic ideas, he uses the techniques of very different visual solutions, so different that he wonders how they fit into one artist. But all of them are united by high artistry, unexpected decisions, their philosophical and conceptual nature. Sergey Chaykun's works are in private collections and galleries in Russia, Ukraine, England, USA, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Japan.

Since 1991, the artist Sergei Tchaikun held more than 20 personal exhibitions in Russia and abroad. He also participated in more than 20 collective professional art exhibitions in Russia and abroad, including ArtExpo (San Francisco).
