The temple rises above the village of Foros at an altitude of 412 meters above sea level and was built in 1892 on a steep cliff according to the project of academician of architecture N. M. Chagin.
In honor of the miraculous salvation of Alexander III and his family, after the collapse of a train traveling from the Crimea to St. Petersburg, it was decided to erect a magnificent temple.
