Born and constantly lived in the village of Khotkovo (Moscow region). War veteran. He worked as a watchman, in recent years - as a designer in the club. He began to paint in the 1940s, after the sudden death of his son. Self-taught, worked from memory, but often used photographs and reproductions as a compositional basis. He sold his paintings at a local store, did not participate in exhibitions, was unknown during his lifetime. Most often and willingly he painted still lifes, usually with a bouquet of flowers, less often landscapes.
