Biography and information

Born in the Orenburg region in a peasant family. He worked as a carpenter, graduated from the correspondence law institute, and currently works as an employee. He composed poems and songs for himself, read a lot of historical literature, in 1986 began to engage in painting, and received consultations at ZNUI. Starting with a landscape, he soon became interested in religious and, especially, historical subjects. The basis of Kondratenko’s work is a dramatic experience of historical events and their moral assessment. It works without sketches, mixes paints on canvas, and uses different schemes for constructing faces and figures in different compositions.
