In 1976 Mr. Tertyshnyk has graduated from the People's High School of Fine Arts (at the Kharkiv Institute of Fine Arts and Industry).
Holder of a number of diplomas, honorary certificates and letters for the numerous cultural and art achievements.
Medal of the “All-Union amateur arts festival dedicated to the 40-th anniversary of the Victory of Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War” award winner.
Works of Mr. Tertyshnyk were exposed in numerous art exhibitions around the World. Personal (afterlife) exhibition “Life of Mikhail Tertyshnyk” in 2010 has included over 70 works of Mr. Tertyshnyk from private collection of Mr. Torishniy (Ukrainian art collector).
