Born in Leningrad in 1960, in 1982 he graduated from the Leningrad Art School named after I. V.A. Serov (department of restoration, teacher M.A.Nikiforov). Since 1982 he worked in a special research and production association "Restorator" as an artist-restorer of easel and monumental painting. In recent years, Sergei Nikolaevich has been living and working in St. Petersburg, is engaged in easel painting and restoration. The artist is a regular participant in exhibitions in the halls of the Union of Artists, the annual exhibition projects "Russian North" and "Origins. Old Ladoga ". In 2013, two personal exhibitions of the artist were held in the galleries "Russian portrait" and "Attic of artists". Since 2015, a member of the St. Petersburg Branch of the Union of Artists of Russia. The artist's palette does not tolerate bright, flashy colors, in each work the viewer sees restrained, silvery tones, which are so characteristic of the St. Petersburg school of painting. In the work on the paintings, the author often uses silver - "potal", and with the help of this artistic technique he manages to convey the beauty of the snow sparkling in the moonlight, the Volkhov River sparkling with silver glare, the silvery color of dandelions illuminated by car headlights. The technique used by the artist helped him create his own individual style, which is always recognizable: all the artist's works are sustained in strict, restrained colors and filled with cold silver light. The artist's works are in private collections in Russia, France, Morocco, USA.
