Mikhail Babiy was born on March 18, 1948 in Vinnitsa. Ukrainian.
In 1968 he graduated from the Odessa School. Grekov. In 1975 he graduated from the Kiev Art Institute (now the National Academy of Arts), painting faculty, workshop of the People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR V.V. Shatalin.
Since 1989 - a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
Honored Artist of Ukraine (2012).
Participant of all-Ukrainian exhibitions since 1979. , international art festivals (1996-1999) and the painting triennial (1998-2018).
The works are kept in the Khmelnytsky Museum of Modern Art, and are the property of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
