Mamuka
Didebashvili

born in 1968
Mamuka Didebashvili has worked with both figurative painting and abstract painting throughout his career, eventually managing to combine the two practices together in his mature portraits. In her work, Mamuka uses the complex and intricate technique of multilayer painting by the masters of the Northern Renaissance. At first glance, the characters of his works also seem outwardly similar to the characters of the Flemish masters, but due to the bright colors and abstract background, the characters of Didebashvili look torn out of any temporal and geographical context, as if they exist in their own time and space.

For more than 15 years, Didebashvili's works have been exhibited and participate in art fairs both in Georgia and in England, Ireland, the USA, Europe and Russia. Mamuka Didebashvili is a recognizable artist abroad, exhibiting and selling in galleries representing his interests in America and England.
